The Tutor provides English language services including individual lessons, one-off consultations, group courses, and community membership.
2. General Provisions
These Terms and Conditions govern the contractual relationship between the Tutor and the client who orders services remotely (via e-mail, messaging, online form, etc.).
In matters not expressly covered by these Terms, the relationship is governed by the Czech Civil Code and consumer-protection regulations.
A service contract is concluded once the Tutor confirms the client’s order. By placing an order, the client agrees to pay the full price of the service.
3. Definition of Services
The services include:

individual English lessons,

one-off consultations,
-
group courses,
-
prepaid community membership.
The services do not include translation, proofreading, or creation of custom materials beyond the standard lesson structure unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
4. Payment Terms

Services are paid via bank transfer or via the payment gateway Comgate (by card, QR or others)

Course fees / lesson fees must be paid no later than 7 days before the start of the service, unless agreed otherwise.

If the client fails to pay on time, the order is automatically cancelled and the client loses the right to the service.

Multi-lesson packages must be used within 6 months of payment unless a different period is agreed. Unused lessons are non-refundable.
Payment via the Comgate Payment Gateway (Comgate, a.s.)
Online payments are provided by the Comgate payment gateway. The service provider, Comgate a.s., is a licensed payment institution operating under the supervision of the Czech National Bank. Payments made through the payment gateway are fully secured and all information is encrypted. More information and contacts at www.comgate.cz.

5. Individual Lessons and One-off Consultations – Cancellation Policy

A lesson missed without prior notice is forfeited without compensation.

Cancellation more than 24 hours in advance → the lesson is rescheduled with no fee.

Cancellation less than 24 hours in advance → the lesson is charged in full.
If the Tutor must reschedule due to illness or technical issues, a new date will be offered. If the client declines the proposed replacement date, the lesson is not charged.
6. Group Courses – Cancellation Policy

If a course cannot take place due to insufficient capacity or any other reason on the Tutor’s side, the client receives a full refund.

Missed group lessons are not replaced and not refunded.

The client may cancel their participation no later than 14 days before the course starts → 100% refund.

Cancellation less than 14 days before the start → no refund (the spot is reserved and capacity is limited).
7. Right to Withdraw from the Contract
A consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of its conclusion.
This right expires if the client explicitly requests that the service begin before the end of the 14-day withdrawal period, and the Tutor begins providing the service (e.g., the first lesson takes place or learning materials are delivered).
By submitting an order, the client confirms they have been informed of this.
8. Technical Requirements
The client is responsible for:

a stable internet connection,

a functioning microphone and camera,
-
joining the lesson on time.
If technical issues occur on the client’s side, the lesson counts as delivered.
If the Tutor experiences technical issues preventing the lesson from taking place, the lesson will be rescheduled.
9. Copyright
Learning materials, worksheets, videos, audio recordings, and any other content provided during lessons are for the client’s personal use only.
Any distribution, sharing, resale, or provision to third parties is strictly prohibited.
10. Complaints
If the client is dissatisfied with the service, a complaint may be submitted in writing to the Tutor’s e-mail address.
The Tutor will respond within 14 days and propose an appropriate solution.
11. Personal Data Processing (GDPR)
The Tutor processes the client’s personal data only to the extent necessary to conclude and fulfil the contract.

12. Final Provisions
These Terms and Conditions are valid from 17 November 2025.
The Tutor reserves the right to modify them. The current version is always available on the website or upon request via e-mail.
